The paintings from Christmas

So I finished painting the creek painting for my mom. This is the end result. I still can't help but pick things out that could still be fixed, but I have to remember that this is a painting, and will not be the same as the original photo.

I had problems finding a frame with this picture, plus the island from the original painting seem crooked, as well as one dolphin seemed to be retaining alot of water around its tail. When editting, I couldn't get the right colors, so I basically started this painting over from scratch. Not having much time to complete this ended up being the final result, which again, I can still see the work that is needed on this.

Here is the painting, I did for my Grandma, or Caden's GiGi. I wanted to make the little boy on the beach neutral. My Grandma lives at the beach and decorates her house in alot of turquoise and peach, so I thought it important to bring those colors into the painting. I googled several beach shots to put this one together, a sand live sand castle, a live sunset, and a water color painting of a boy kneeling at down at the beach. I tried to make those images come together as naturally as possible - but the end result works even though it is not in a true natural form state. It is a painting Alyssa!! It doesn't have to look completely real!!
