So I took a long break from painting.  The birth of a second child, and then getting out of the routine of painting.  Plus I was awaiting the purchase of a new cheating tool!  I purchased a mini projector. Now I can project the image on the wall and then trace the outline of the picture with a pencil.  I used to draw my own pictures, but I figured this would make one step a little easier and also allow me to focus more on the painting knowing that the drawing was intact.

So this first painting is one I did for a coworker and the birth of her new baby boy Ren - which means Water Lily in Japanese - I believe. So I did what I've typically done in the past - found an image doing google search. I've decided I have to graduate from using others photos - as I have no idea if their are copyrights on them and I've gotten to skilled to borrow someones photo.

These next two are from photos I pulled off of google images.  But in the future my paintings will be from my own photos or someone elses....

I really love the next one, I'm trying to find the photographer of this photo as I'd love to replicate it! Its for the kids bedroom, but I might put it somewhere else. I love this one - I love fall leaves and I love how the colors pop!

So I've got plenty of paintings of Caden, but I needed one of my daughter as well. This photo was taken a year ago when she was just over a year.
